Safety Officer (Ref: OHSOF)

Safety Officer is a general administration and coordination role in a remote location working in a cross-cultural work environment in southwest region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Main Responsibilities :
• Responsible to follow up the national OHS regulations
• Responsible to follow up the site Work Permits and Site Inspections
• Making OHS Risk assessments
• Monitoring working conditions
• Preparing, organizing and giving environmental and OHS trainings
• Conducting OHS Committee Meetings
• Giving suggestions on emergency action processes
• Preparing the annual training and working plans
• Having an active role on company Occupational Health and Safety management processes
• Monitoring the occupational accidents and checking corrections and corrective actions
• Coordinating with the subcontractors
• Supporting management of OHSAS 18001 Management System
• Updating manuals, procedures and similar documentary

Work Environment :
• This position directly reports to the OHS Superintendent.
• This position is required to spend working time inside and outside of the office, managing and coordinating the work.

Required Education and Experience :
• Preferably Mining Engineer
• Have an experience on OHSAS 18001 Management System
• Ability to use computer, e.g. MS Office application
• Good knowledge in English
• Being rule oriented
• Having company wise thinking and handling
• Being good in human relations, having good communication and discussion skills
• Analytic thinking capability, also during critical situations
• Being target oriented, ability to set priorities for effective time management
